trainer OC: Derek's story

Derek. A boy of just 17 who is the plain smart rich boy in Goldenrod city of the Johto region. He's only a normal trainer. He's never into fancy contests or GIRLS. He's only considered by his friends and parents that he was just raised to be one of those people who have a mindset to be one thing, and to Derek that was to be the "best trainer" and nothing else will stop him until his goal is complete. Always just thought of as a poser, he set off on a journey telling his parents in advanced wanting to show his skills to the world that he can be the best too. He was trained and trains his pokemon to have strategy. To him, without strategy he can't win his battle. He rarely gives up. His pokemon all try their hardest to be Derek's best pokemon despite their levels of difference. They all have good skills of their own. If he likes someone and is his/her good friend, he tries his hardest to not hold back on the battle. He only carries a pokedex, a cellphone in case a trainer wants to battle [kind of like a poketch app], and some pokeballs in case he wants more pokemon..but he always will stick to his main 6 pokemon. His hairstyle is plain and simple--except that he puts a hair tie on his hair on his left side so it won't look so PLAIN. His alternate outfit if a coat with some faur fur on it that surrounds the neckHis goggles are his best accessory that is always worn even when hes sleeping. He never takes them off. Only when he needs to wash his face[lol]. anyways, his motto is: "strategy+goggles=WIN"

Flaaffy was given as a gift when Derek was only 10. Flaaffy was still a Mareep by that time. Derek made sure that his first pokemon would be better than the others so that his friends and classmates at pokeschool would stop teasing him that he was a sissy and for having such a small cute pokemon. Mareep got to evolve to now what is Flaaffy when Derek was at age 13 by both their determination and ambition. Flaaffy is really close to Derek and does his best to satisfy his trainer.

The second most favorite pokemon of Derek's. Of course, Flareon was an Eevee before, so when Eevee was given to him as another gift from his parents, Derek was given the oppurtunity to choose which stone to evolve his eevee with. Obviously, he chose the fire stone. He though having his now Flareon would be a stong pokemon in case his Flaaffy couldn't finish the battle when fainted. Even though Flareon looks small, his Flamethrower can even K.O. a water pokemon.

Dragonair was caught during Derek's journey in the middle of nowhere. Dragonair was a rare sight to see and Derek caught it with Flaaffy at his side. It was pretty hard catching Dragonair and it took 3 ultra balls to finalize the catch. In Dragonair's view, he is really timid in nature. A bit close to his trainer and always like to smack Derek's face with his tail.

Fun loving water pokemon that likes to bubblebeam his master to the ground as said just for fun~~ To Derek, Azumarill thinks bubblebeaming the others is fun. Flareon and Azumarill are enemies when it comes to that sort of fun. A bit of friends and a bit of rivals when it comes to their trainer's satisfaction.

Vileplume is probably the best pokemon friend Derek can ever have besides Flaaffy. To Derek, Vileplume was Derek's official family pet since it was an ODDISH. His love for it when he was a kid evolved quickly. Leveling up came naturally and Vileplume is almost never kept in his pokeball because Derek uses him as a hat to block the sunlight into his goggles. And besides, Vileplume can collect all the sunlight he can get to get ready for his battles.

Giraffarig is just a slow and dazed out and relaxed and calm pokemon. His Earthquake is always really rough and uncontrolled it even makes his trainer tremble in fear. Giraffarig's skills are pretty fair to battling other pokemon.
